Day 31

Today is the last day that I can use the date to keep me on track on what day I am on.
A whole month of blogging has already passed. I cant believe how fast March went by.

Back to the coffee shops, the second place we went to was T.A.N. on Queen West as well.
Another great place. The barista we had was actually working her first day, and instead of being bitter when I asked a question, she was super sweet and simple asked her coworker to explain. I love people that aren't afraid to ask questions. You're not going to learn otherwise.

I got another vanilla latte, also delicious, and this is the one that had the cute double heart that I posted a few days ago.
This is also where I decided to show what number the cafe was on our list.
I think everyone that walked passed us thought I was doing the Asian tourist pose.

Aw well!

Day 30

Here starts the coffee shop traveling.
We took the streetcar all the way out to Lansdowne which was where the farthest coffee shop was.
And turned out in my opinion to be the best of the day as well.

The Mascot on Queen West is a great place to go, if you happen to be that far West (being the only downside) The guys there were extremely friendly and talkative, inquiring about how many coffee shops we have to visit still. Not only that, but they gave us both free brownies. How nice is that?!
I may also be because it was my first coffee on this marathon, but that vanilla latte was amazing.

Thanks Fellas!!

Day 29

I really need to get back on track over here.
Another double post today.

This is another coffee that we enjoyed far too little in Kensington Market.
This was one of the better coffees I had that day.
I do really enjoy when they make designs in the foam. I didnt get too many of them considering how many lattes I got. Oh well.

Enjoy!

Day 28

Here is my second post for the day, because I am one day behind.

On the coffee adventure, we walked passed Bruce St.
So we stopped and had a little photo shoot.

Day 27

This weekend was so busy. Well thats kind of a lie. Saturday was busy. Then Sunday was a day for recouping from Saturday.

Saturday the boy  and I went around the city going to coffee shops.
He bought me an Indie Coffee Passport for Christmas, also one for himself.
There are 25 independent Toronto coffee shops on it and for a cost of $25 you can go to each of these coffee shops and enjoy a coffee for up for $5 each.
We live in the East end and both work walking distance from where we live, so we dont have metropasses and never take the subway. So we had visited all the East end shops, so we got a day pass for Saturday to go finish up the passport as it end on the 31st.  What we didnt realize was how close the West end ones were to each other. We spent nine hours going from shop to shop taking pictures and drinking coffee. We ended up missing one because we didnt plan our dinner out well and it closed. But we managed to visit ten shops. The next thirteen days, I will be sharing one picture each day from our adventures.
Today, is a picture of my coffee from T.A.N. on Queen St.
It looked like there were two little hearts in the foam, so I just couldnt resist.

Enjoy the next two weeks of pictures!

Day 26

Yesterday I showed you the first picture that someone else was proud of that I took.
Today I will show you the first picture that I was proud of.

I took it one summer day when I was home from university. It was only with my point and shoot. But somehow the lighting just exposed the mushroom so well while still allowing the car to be seen in the back.
I dont know why, but I still to this day really like this picture.

Enjoy

Day 25

This was the first picture that someone ever told me they really liked.
And although the person was my sister, it almost made it even more special because she has such specific taste and she doesn't say she like something just to be nice.

So even if this doesn't go anywhere, I will forever cherish that moment.
Thanks Sister!

Day 24

As beautiful as the day before was. Yesterday there was a BLIZZARD
So bad that I could barely see walking to and from work. My boss even came by and told everyone to go home because it wasnt looking like it was letting up.

Within 24 hours we went from Happy Springtime to Depressing Snow.
I just want it to be summer

Day 23

Yesterday morning  March 22, was so lovely, the sun was out and I was happy to walk to work. I took a picture outside my window as the sun started shining.
The picture is of the old Don Vally Jail that they have half torn down and I believe is being rebuilt into a hospital. I wish I took pictures at it was progressing, it is going up so fast.

Wait until you see tomorrow's picture.

Good night.

Day 22

I wrote about amazing doughnuts yesterday.
But I cannot leave out my own mom who had a little baking company of her own. Now she just bakes for family. But I cant complain about that.
Below is a picture of a cheesecake that she made for my sisters birthday.
Its okay if you mouth is watering. it was delicious.

Enjoy!

Day 21

Happy Spring.
Hopefully we can say so long to the awful weather soon. Today is quite a nice day. It was expected to rain all day, but the sun shine is out just in time for me to walk home from work and it is nine degrees outside.

As for pictures today. Both the boy's and my mom are terrific bakers. Last time we went to Ottawa the boy's mom made homemade doughnuts.
a) Fried
b) Glazed
c) Warm
d) Eat your heart out Krispy Kream!

Enjoy, as much as I did!

PS I did the glazing. Be jealous.

Day 20

Every time my girlfriends and I go out, and we end up in an elevator, we have to get an arm length picture with everyone squished in.
This time was no exception, and we took about seven but unfortunately the best one was one that I forgot to turn the flash on, so I made it black and white to make it look better.

If you knew these girls, they would make you smile as much as they make me smile.

Day 19

Thursday was St Patty's Day and oh what a day it was.
I went to the bar straight from work and started to get my drink on. And to be honest Friday wasnt the greatest day of my life.
And although I have several pictures from the night, I am keeping to my one picture a day. This can pretty much sum up the highs and lows of the night.

Our friend Sean dunked a small top hat into a pitcher and drank from it while Catherine expressed the face we were all feeling when he did it.

Enjoy!

Day 18

So I dont live in the best neighbourhood in Toronto, but the rents cheap and its a great size for one person. And I have friendly pigeons that really quite enjoy sitting either on a platform by my bedroom window or on the balcony itself. One night I actually thought someone was trying to break into my apartment because I think two were fighting or something.

But either way, on a beautiful sunny morning, how can you not take a picture of them.
So here's to you little guys.

Day 17

In keeping with the summer theme that I dont want to let go of, I am posting the best summer picture that I have ever taken.
When you look out the window today it looks like it could be beautiful, but its still chilly because its still March and I'm still in Canada.

This is of the boy and his dog at his family cottage, that is on an island and you have to take a boat ride to get to it. It is the ultimate escape.

Day 16

I miss the summer so much. And today made me really excited that its slowly on its way back.

This picture is from a few summers ago, and I simply set my camera on the dock and then I adjusted contrast a bit and added a filter. I may have done some other stuff to it.
But its what makes it my own and I love this picture and I cant wait for more nights like this.

Day 15

So I've come to the realization that I am doing a photo challenge of a photo a day.
But some days I've been posting A LOT to say the least. So starting now, I will only post one picture, MAX two if I really can't decide.

Hopefully you can continue enjoying to words and photos.

This mornings photo is quite simple, two words: My Addiction.

Day 14

Post two for today.

Although they are no longer this little, and there has been another one added to the bunch, these siblings are one of my favourite things. Period.

Oooo and ahhhhhh as much as you like.

AF

Day 13

Here is one of two posts today.

Yesterday was the boy and my two year. We went out for an amazing dinner.
Kutura on King St East. Go if you can, you won't regret it, and get the mushroom orecchiette. You'll think about it for the rest of the night, whether you want to or not.

But last night made me realize, how lucky I really am to have found someone that I want to be with and wants to be with me just as much.
So here's a little love I found in my breakfast one morning. And share some love with the people that mean the most to you today.

xo.

Day 12

I've dropped the ball.
Unfortunately I was away from both my cameras all weekend long and did not take any pictures.
So instead I will catch up by posting twice in two days on two different occasions this week.

I walk passed this stop sign everyday on my way to work.
It helps me keep walking.
So hopefully it will help you get through the rest of the week.

Day 11

Its hard to take pictures when you have 3 solid days of rain.
Nothing is interesting outside, and I dont want to get my camera wet, or myself for that matter.

So Ive been looking through things Ive done, things Ive photographed and things I can share with you.

When I met the boyfriend first year university he bought a shirt that he loved on a trip to Chicago. Which he then proceeded to lose within the year. When we started dating he talked about how he wanted to buy another and how great that shirt was.
So I went on the hunt. Googled the crap out of it, and it turned out that Zac Efron had purchased it so it was sold out everywhere. I ended up finding the company that made it and emailed them only to find out that they had discontinued it. So I took it upon myself to make it. Knew it wouldnt be as good. But I would give it a shot.
I even added a little love to it on the back.

When he opened it, first thing he said was, oh my god, where did you find the shirt. Oh no no sweet heart that was not purchased.

Take a peak at what it looks like.

Day 9

Last night, our main printer at work invited us all to a Mardi Gras party, complete with beads, hats, masks, appetizers, and free alcohol.
There was a fantastic jazz band, and a great turn out.
There was even dancers in bikinis and feather head dresses and all.
It was fantastic, I cut down the pictures as much as I could but there is still quite a few.

Enjoy!

Day 8

With all the rain that happened on Saturday and the 8 degrees when we left for the surprise party.
I couldn't believe my eyes when we left at 2am and there was a few inches of snow on the ground.
It was crazy.
Its still lingering and its Tuesday, but the boy and I went for a walk on Sunday in the crisp weather and went to a coffee shop, to enjoy the warm and cold all together.

Pictures are nothing special, just an everyday stroll
